Finding my mojo with Aall and Create

Hello from the Stamping shed HQ and Happy thursday!

I hope you are all well and enjoying this mini heatwave we have been having?
I love the sunshine, it’s been amazing for the garden the past week and I have finally got round to planting up my purchases from a few weeks ago that had been neglected with the everything that has been going on personally.

So yesterday I was having a look around the shop trying to decide what to create. I was in the mood for being a bit messy with paint but many of you that know me know how much I love using alcohol markers too, so with this in mind here is what I made….

It ended up a riot of Pink and yellow! I used the Art Alchemy Impasto paints in Lemon Peel and Raspberry pink. Simply and randomly created with an unused card I had in my purse to pick up and scrape onto the base card.

Next I used Aall and create stencil #114 and Distress oxide in Ground espresso and The Stamp market Raspberry ink pad to build up layers of hearts and dots.

LOVE, LOVE Washi #17, it’s a chunkier washi, perfect for tearing strips from to create interest.

I next tore some kraft corregated card and gave it some extra depth with Ground espresso oxide, I thought this would help to ‘ground’ the adorable quirky Janet Klein character ‘Be Beautiful’ #416.

To colour this quirky girl I used Graphmaster Set G skin tones and assorted colours from the Altenew Marker sets we have in store and online. When I was looking for alcohol markers to stock at The Stamping shed I wanted pens that were not just good quality but affordable too. The Altenew markers are fantastic value and are true to the colour on the end of the pen. Something that really frustrates me with some brands, the colours can be way out!

So that’s it for today but I will be back soon with more creations and shop updates for you. Enjoy the rest of the week!

Love Katy xx
